I was walking up the Palatine Hill yesterday when soaring far above the Roman Forum I noticed some green. I looked around and the bird flew to the tree behind me. While everyone was looking the other way, I snapped a photograph of this parrot, perhaps a ring-necked Parakeet, apparently a species from India which has adapted to the Italian climate well. I also spotted a lizard at the Colosseum but he slipped away too quickly for a photo. Meanwhile views onto the other direction gazing on the Forum Romano…
How do you know it’s from India originally?
